Mrs. Gejer started her adventure in education as a classroom volunteer. She has worked as substitute paraeducator in a self-contained Special Day Class, an elementary school secretary, and as a Resource Specialist teacher. She also piloted the Learning Center model for her district. After retirement from the district, she served as adjunct faculty at CSU Dominguez Hills and as a consultant to several school districts.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION In this session, participants will review the roles and major responsibilities of the teacher and the paraeducator.Strategies for team building will also be discussed.Participants will be provided with concrete examples of collaboration, communication, charting data, and scheduling.The session will conclude with a time for questions and answers.
