Christine has taught in Special Education - Resource for 13 years. Throughout those years, she has worked with her students in Reading, Writing and Math in small group, push in, consult and co-teaching. Most recently, she worked summer school for 5 weeks with a general ed colleague where they taught EL and Sped students with a focus on Writing and Speaking. She took this successful experience and used it this school year to start the co-teaching model in a few classrooms this school year. She hopes to help teach others in her district to begin this model and create Learning Centers for RSP and SDC to reduce the amount of time away from General Education.
