Award-winning author, Susan Traugh holds a B.A. in Liberal Studies and a Masters Degree in Education specializing in curriculum development. She has taught elementary and middle school in addition to university teacher preparation. Susan is the former president of POSH (Partnership of School and Home) whose purpose was to open lines of communication between parents of students with special needs and school. It was in this capacity that the need for this curriculum became evident. Susan is the mother of three adult children with special needs. In this interactive workshop, teachers will learn to use assessments, ITP goal banks, instructional workbooks and video products to tailor their transition and/or life skills instruction to individual student needs and abilities in the areas of Adult Living Skills; Cooking Skills; Social Skills; Job Skills; and Character Building Skills.
